The relationship between humans and nature is a major topic explored by Singaporean artist Robert Zhao Renhui. He presents works that interweave reality and fiction through scientific-like research and multidimensional artistic expression, showcasing the impact of humans on nature and prompting viewers to reflect on the relationship between humans and nature. One of Robert Zhao Renhui's main creative methods is to conduct long-term documentary observations and records like a naturalist.
In conjunction with the "Robert Zhao Renhui: Looking for wilderness" project, the "Little Naturalist Workshop" has been introduced, inviting children to try to rediscover the familiar but unfamiliar "Water Eight Immortals" from the perspective of a "naturalist" through scientific and artistic nature notes. It is hoped that children can bring new methods and perspectives to understand nature, cherish local scenery, care about the ecological environment, and experience the wonder, depth, and beauty of nature.
